Game Recap: Rosevelt 18s Drop One to SoPo

The Rosevelt Soccer Club U18s lost to South Portland 4-3 Sunday night in a 50-minute game in the Gorham Sports Center winter league.

The Bull Moose jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the first five minutes with goals by Jimmy Pelletier ('17) and Austin Farwell ('16), but South Portland scored three unanswered goals, including two in the last couple minutes of the half, to take a 3-2 lead into halftime. Pelletier's second goal of the game five minutes into the second half evened the game, but South Portland scored the game-winner with seven minutes remaining in the game.

Goalkeeper Rowan Daligan ('18) had five saves for Rosevelt SC, Caleb Barlow ('18) had two assists, and Varney Kai ('16) added an assist.
